Job Description
Skills Required: -Strong communication skills
-Perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature
-Ability to manage multiple projects within established time frames
-Must be a current undergraduate student at the University of California, Santa Cruz

Skills Preferred: Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with the IVP
Previous or current involvement with student organizations or SUA
Ability to plan large scale events
Interest in providing basic needs and improving affordable housing for students
-Must be able to meet with the IVP and student organizations on a weekly basis in the SUA Office
-Must be able to attend meetings on campus (subject to your own schedule)
-Must have some availability to work events and meetings on weekends and weeknights

Percentage of Time Duty
100% 100% - This position works primarily under the SUA Office of Internal Affairs to advance the office’s goals of being an active resource to the student body. This position advances this goal through projects that work on improving communication and collaboration with student organizations, along with projects that tackle campus efforts and issues. The Internal Vice President (IVP) is the supervising Officer.

The duties of this role consist of the following:
35%: Serve as the active point person to improve communication and collaboration with student organizations

35%: Responsible for projects that address campus efforts and/or issues as they are brought to the attention of the IVP Office, such as efforts on food or housing insecurity, etc

10%: collaborating with the Chief of Staff and IVP on projects of the IVP office such as coordinating communication and involvement in local government

10%: Work with the student and campus-wide committees and Administrative staff to address campus-wide issues as needed

10%: Any other duties as assigned by the IVP
