Must be able to meet with the IVP and student organizations on a weekly basis in the SUA Office
Must be able to attend meetings on campus (subject to your own schedule)
Must have some availability to work events and meetings on weekends and weeknights
Must be a current undergraduate student at the University of California, Santa Cruz

Percentage of Time Duty
100% This position works primarily under the SUA Office of Internal Affairs and reports to the Vice President of Internal Affairs. The Chief of Staff will primarily be in charge of administrative office work and will support other members of the Office of Internal Affairs. This includes assistance with planning events, taking notes at meetings, responding to email inquiries, and completing purchase orders. Work can be done remotely, but hours will be sporadic throughout the day instead of having a set schedule. This is a By Agreement position in which a stipend will be provided upon project completion.

Responsibilities and duties include the following:
25% - Serve as the IA Office’s liaison to other organizations and campus departments
25% - Foster communication between all IVP interns and hold regular meetings for the Office of Internal Affairs
20% - Draft statements on behalf of the Office of Internal Affairs, the other officers, and the SUA
10% - Manage the IVP’s schedule and email communication
20% - Any other duties assigned by the IVP or their interns.
