Skills Required: -Excellent time management skills
-Ability to work independently and with good judgment
-Well versed in connecting and working with diverse populations
-Experience with small scale event planning and advertising
-Must be timely, reliable, proactive, and adaptable
-Advanced understanding and experience using the following social media sites: Instagram, Facebook, Spotify, and Snapchat
-Motivated to creatively publicize and promote college themes, events, and social media presence
-Ability to creatively engage users across various social media platforms
-High level of interest in creating and maintaining meaningful engagement within the college community
-Moderate experience using Google (Docs, Mail, Forms, Sheets, and Calendar)

Skills Preferred: -Experience creating videos with iMovie or other video software
-Interested in following and applying the latest social media trends
-Ability to utilize analytics to increase user engagement and following
-Professional experience managing social media pages for an organization
-Experience using iPod touch or other Apple devices
-Comfortable using a digital camera and photo equipment
-Familiar with using the Bitmoji App

Percentage of Time Duty
70% Managing Social Media Accounts:
-Update Instagram and Facebook at least once per week with a mix of content. Content is not limited to but should include videos, boomerangs, photos, surveys, contests, and event updates.
-Respond accordingly to increase engagement (likes and comments)
-Produce creative material for each social media account using hashtags, filters, and mentions when appropriate
-Identify filters to be used on the college instagram page
-Create a Spotify channel and post playlists including college night playlists and study playlists to be shared with the college community
-Outreach to other social media accounts on campus in order to share content and engage in the wider UCSC community
-Use mentions, tags, and hashtags to connect these accounts
-Research and discuss articles to be posted on social media sites
-Liaise with college staff, faculty and students to guide article research and content creation
15% Planning & Advertising Events:
-Plan 1-2 events per quarter to publicize and promote social media accounts to encourage new followers
-Organize give-away and tabling events to promote social media engagement within respective college community
-Make and distribute surveys to assess current social media strategy and utilize this information to drive future content.
15% Scheduling & Administrative Duties:
-Create rotation with Resident Assistants/Neighborhood Assistants to maintain Snapchat posting and device trade off schedule for each event during the quarter
-Create snapchat filters for each large scale event during the quarter
-Attend weekly Monday night meeting from 7:15-8:00pm with student leadership team
Work within a budget to manage accounts and special events
Progress updates with supervisor every week to assess account progress in order to adjust strategy.
