Job Description
Skills Required: 1. Experience working with first generation students, and students from various communities and socio-economic backgrounds.
2. Proficiency with office productivity tools (Microsoft Office, Google Apps, Calendar,Canva, Constant Contact).
3. Perform basic and varied clerical tasks including keyboarding, data entry, scanning, filing, copying, faxing and operating standard office equipment.
4. Must be able to multitask, set deadlines, and complete projects as assigned on time while also prioritizing appropriately.
5. Public speaking skills required when providing EOP presentations to students, staff, parents, and community groups visiting the UCSC campus. Coordinate and facilitate EOP events, workshops, and other activities as needed.
6. Must have the ability to work collaboratively with other people, offices and programs.
7. Must maintain a strong commitment to the mission of Educational Opportunity Programs.

Skills Preferred: 1. Experience planning events and workshops
2. Ability to work independently team when necessary
3. Experience with program management or overseeing budgets
4. Experience using Cruzbuy, Amazon, Instacart

Percentage of Time Duty
40% Project Planning:

Under the direct supervision of the EOP Wellness Program Coordinator, the summer program intern will have the following responsibilities:

1. Support EOP Wellness program/units in creation and/or implementation of student programing
2. Assist the Bridge Program planning the Wilderness Orientation (planning activities for students, reserving vans, purchasing food & supplies, ect.)
3. Plan activities and workshops for students for upcoming year 2019-2020
4. Coordination with vendors, hosts, etc for event logistics
5. Attend planned activities as needed
6. Brainstorm marketing pieces for various audiences including current and visiting UCSC students
7. Create print publications (postcards, flyers, posters, etc.)
30% Administrative:

1. Attend to Program email, responding and connecting with students on a regular basis
2. Create and update Google Sheets pertaining to the program
3. Assist program coordinator with training for new team
4. Ensure website has updated information and deadlines
5. Will assist with budgeting and financial paperwork
30% Organizing/Filing:

1. Will assist program with organizing rental gear closet and creating a check out process
2. Will file student testimonials and pictures
3. Create Google Documents and Sheets with students information for Wilderness Orientation
4. Manage Wellness Google Drive
5. Keep track of program inventory
