Skills Required: NOTE: This position is located in Scotts Valley at the Enterprise Technology Center.

One of the most important qualifications this student position requires is the ability to be an independent, proactive self-starter with excellent organizational and communication skills. We need to have a student that comes to work on time and starts right in; has clear and concise communication skills, and maintains a high attention to detail as this position requires spending a great deal of time doing independent research, data analysis and writing. This student position requires a high level of proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.
Skills Preferred: Other skills preferred are Google Suite. In addition, the ability to listen effectively and speak in a clear concise manner sufficient to obtain needed information, explain policies and procedures, and provide instructions and directions.
Percentage of Time Duty
95% This student position is responsible for research, process instruction development, data analysis and reporting. Under the supervision of Stephanie Lopez, Special Programs Manager, University of California – Office of the President, this student employee will work to develop a detailed process guide outlining clear reporting standards for University of California large and strategic suppliers. This student will also compile and validate UC Fiscal Year 2018-2019 sustainable spend reporting for UC Green categories of spend.

Additionally, this student will provide a detailed analysis of ‘UC Green’ products within a specific supplier catalog and work with that supplier, Stephanie Lopez and the UC Sustainable Procurement Working Group to update UC eCommerce catalogs with ‘UC Green’ flagged products. This student will supplement this work with an analysis of supplier green product offerings as compared with comparable ‘conventional’ goods.

This position is also responsible for miscellaneous scanning, photocopying and data entry.
