Job Description
Skills Required: Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, and be friendly and courteous. Must have a good rapport with students and the public, and must be able to be assertive when circumstances necessitate.

50% Interacts with participants: Greets participants as they enter facility; checks to see that all participants have a valid student ID or Facility Use Membership Cards; orients participants on general facility operations. In addition, attendants may assist participants with proper set-up on exercise equipment.
15% Assists in daily operation of OPERS Facilities: Ensures that all facility policies and procedures are followed; sells day passes and various items, sports drinks and refreshments. Performs functions on ActiveNet such as Locker rental and Equipment Lending. Building Operations Attendants may be assigned keys and may be responsible for the opening and closing of the facilities.

30% All Building Operations student staff will maintain a clean and neat facility; On a daily basis, cleans and sanitizes exercise equipment and exercise areas, windows, doors, hallways and locker rooms; returns equipment to proper place; reports any mechanical failures to OPERS Maintenance staff; carries out other cleaning duties as needed or as assigned by their supervisor.
5% Performs general secretarial duties: Answers telephone; takes messages; maintains an inventory of program flyers, brochures, cleaning supplies and other office products; keeps tally of students, faculty, staff and community members using the facility.
