Skills Required: - Strong writing and organizational skills
- Familiar with features and best practices across mainstream social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn
- Ability to lift 40 pounds
- Must be available on event days
Skills Preferred: - Experience with administrative work/an office environment
- Experience with website editor platforms/web content management systems
- Familiarity with graphic design best practices and programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Canva is a plus

Percentage of Time Duty
45% Social Media/Digital Marketing: Under the supervision of the Career Center Marketing Specialist, implement the Career Center digital marketing strategy to increase followership and engagement across the department’s social media accounts. Write captions for and post social media content to execute the unit’s digital communications schedule. Work with the marketing team to coordinate the creation and curation of social media content inter- and intradepartmentally. Post timely information to social media pages. Work with Graphic Design Assistant to conceptualize artwork for social media campaigns. Work with Videographer/Photography Assistant to format visuals for social media and capture student and employer testimonials about Career Center services.
25% Publicity & Outreach: Attend fairs and other events to create Facebook/Instagram live coverage and capture content for social media. Assist with advertising for fairs, executing email campaigns, posting banners at college dining halls and flyers at departments. Perform outreach activities, including tabling and sharing information with student organizations.
15% Social Media Data Analysis: Track and report on social media metrics weekly. Use data to inform social media and marketing strategies, and regularly contribute suggestions to improve the department’s digital presence.
15% - Event Days: Help load and unload heavy materials and event supplies. Set up and break down event. Answer questions from students, staff, faculty, and recruiters on general details of fair. Attend to tasks designated by staff assignment sheet including student registration, employer registration, food watch, student survey table, etc.

- Assist in managing and updating the lobby TV postings.

- Attend meetings and other duties as assigned.
