Job Description
Skills Required: - Outstanding communication skills and public speaking skills
- Excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Experience/knowledge of campus life
- Experience working with numbers and/or statistical data
- Strong interpersonal skills and sensitivity to diversity
- Ability to conduct research using multiple mediums (online, print, consultation etc.)
- Strong technical and computer skills, ability to use Mac or PC, Microsoft office (namely Excel), and experience with database management
- Demonstrated professional work attitude, initiative, and leadership; ability sufficient to work independently as well as in a team.

Skills Preferred: - Knowledge of Career Center services sufficient to perform a variety of duties related to the mission and goals of the Career Center.
- Preferred availability starting in September for training, and for one-hour weekly meetings during working hours during the academic year.
- Innovative and resourceful problem solver- able to “think outside the box”

Percentage of Time Duty
50% Outreach: Knowledge of student organizations and academic departments within the Divisions of Humanities. Conduct outreach and presentations to students, staff, faculty, and of campus organizations regarding Career Center services and events as they relate to the Humanities disciplines. Research employment and opportunities with companies, agencies, and organizations within the Humanities.
35% Event planning: Assist with planning and executing of events and activities focused on students in the Humanities Division. Facilitate event logistics including set up, break down of rooms for presentations and events, tracking attendees, arranging for refreshments, as well as conducting event evaluation and follow up.
10% Team Collaboration: Assist with CC events: job/internship fairs, graduate school and Multicultural Career Fair etc.
5% Miscellaneous: Assume other duties and responsibilities as needed
