Job Description
Skills Required: 1.     Experience sailing small boats                              

2.     Experience teaching beginning and intermediate sailing.          

3.     Interpersonal and communication skills to effectively instruct students.

4.     Ability to effectively communicate with and be sensitive to the needs of an ethnically, age, and gender diverse student population.

5. Experience handling small power craft.                              

Skills Preferred: 1. Powerboat handling skills
Percentage of Time Duty
100% Assist teaching of basic and intermediate, and advanced sailing classes in practical boating safety using 15-foot, 2-person sailboats to youths ages 8 to 16 as part of the Boating Program’s community sailing program. Instruction includes an introduction to rigging, nomenclature, seamanship, proper boat handling techniques, and general boating and aquatic safety.
