Job Description
Skills Required: •     Create new and original designs from scratch for projects based on SHOP’s needs and brand image.
•     Lead the development and creation of publications, videos, brochures, flyers, posters, postcards, newsletters, signage and forms for SHOP.
•     Prepare all artwork for print.
•     Assist with organizing and staging photo shoots for marketing materials.
•     Assist with the planning and development of a yearlong SHOP programs and services marketing campaign.
•     Make sure that job deadlines are met in due time, ensuring that job quality is nothing short of the best.
•     Create and maintain files for all creative assets and resources, such as software, art materials, and special fonts, which are needed for record keeping and referencing.
•     Possess the skills and ability to exercise good time management and multitasking skills in executing projects.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Sufficient computer competency, working skill set for Microsoft applications and desktop publishing applications.
•     Experience with social media.

Skills Preferred: Knowledgeable about Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), video editing software and other design software programs; Ability to organize and prioritize work while juggling several projects at once; Ability to establish effective relationships with outside organizations and contacts; Basic knowledge of SHOP at the Student Health Center is desired.

90% Graphic Design/Marketing and Outreach
•Create video's, flyers, posters, brochures, apparel, leaflets, handouts, press releases & other outreach materials as required.
•Create advertisements for both print and online sources.
•Create PSA’s, presentations, videos or other alternative social media activities.


5% Community Education
•Assume a lead role in coordinating SHOP's outreach educational materials for use in presentations, tabling and other outreach avenues.
•Collaborate with campus partners (student orgs, resources centers, Greek life, etc.) to coordinate a comprehensive SHOP educational outreach campaign.
•Coordinate SHOP representation at all appropriate campus events.
•Organize community meetings and events as necessary.
5% Other duties as assigned.

Special Comments: SHOP’s Lead Student Graphic Designer is responsible for conceptualization and implementation of design ideas that meet SHOP’s marketing strategies from concept to completion. SHOP’s Lead Student Graphic Designer will work with SHOP staff to set priorities and timelines for project completion.

Responsibilities: Assists with marketing projects, specifically in graphic design; Participates in various stages of developing marketing programs and advertising materials to promote SHOP’s programs and services; Assist with several key projects, such as publications, video's, brochures, flyers, posters, postcards, newsletters, signage, and public outreach efforts/events.
