Job Description
Skills Required: Demonstrated experience using ESRI ArcGIS software. Project assistant will use ArcGIS to accurately georeference air photo indexes; save and name files following library naming convention; create and update templates and documentation.

Other skills include: attention to detail; strong communication skills; ability to explain technical information to non-GIS conversant library staff; ability to ask questions, prioritize and complete a variety of tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision.

Skills Preferred: Experience using flatbed scanners and image editing software such as Photoshop.

Courses Preferred: ENVS 115L - Exercises in Geographic Information Systems.

Percentage of Time Duty
80% Georeferencing indexes in ArcGIS and checking to ensure accuracy.

20% Creating and updating documentation; updating metadata; refiling photos and newly created indexes.
