Job Description
Skills Required: The Department of Athletics & Recreation (ATH-REC) Building Operations Manager Leads will assist in moderate level oversight of front desk operations, guest and member services, office procedures, facility audits and staff performance.
Assist the Associate Athletic Director in staff training, supervision and management, responding to stakeholder issues, and performing record-keeping and general clerical duties.

Job Requirements:
Knowledge of ATH-REC operations, programs, services, policies, procedures, mission, vision and values
Must be able to work in a team environment
Proven ability to supervise, motivate, and lead others
Ability to work with diverse populations and awareness of inclusivity and diversity
Ability to delegate assignments & evaluate student staff performance
Demonstrated efficient conflict resolution skills
Must be responsible, reliable and have a positive work attitude
Proven ability to make independent judgment calls
Strong commitment to an environment that promotes honesty and integrity
Must have good organizational skills, be detail oriented, and have strong prioritization abilities
Strong interpersonal (oral and written) communication skills
Clerical/receptionist experience
Experience with filing, writing and answering phones
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Publisher and Excel; Google Apps and G-Suite programs

Percentage of Time Duty
60% Assists in the scheduling and supervision of all student employees
Follow established university and departmental policies and standard operating procedures
Separate and accurately file correspondence, forms, financial records, reports, etc.
Balance cash and prepare deposit(s) and make deposit(s) daily
Organize and maintain multiple email accounts and respond in a timely manner.
Maintain several databases utilizing Fusion, Excel, and Filemaker programs.
Data entry for various database systems maintained by the office
Assist with the maintenance of departmental records and daily/monthly/quarterly/annual statistical reports
Responsible for tracking and maintaining various employee and staff task list and shift logs
Use departmental knowledge to educate stakeholders and mitigate complex situations.
Maintain confidentiality of faculty/staff, student, and community member information
Assist with the maintaining of the Department of Athletics & Recreation website via WCMS.
Assist in the marketing and promotion of ATH-REC facilities, operations and services.
Assist in monitoring the inventory and reordering of custodial, medical, and office supplies, fitness/workout equipment, and retail items.
Assist with the development and administration of the Employee Appreciation rewards program
40% Assist in the direct oversight over one of four areas:
Scheduling and accountability
Membership and Customer Service
Operations and Audits
Human Resources and Development
Each area will have specialized responsibilities and may serve as the primary lead on staff training and in-services related to the area.
