Certifications Required: Lifeguard Training, CPR for the
Professional Rescuer (or equivalent), Basic First Aid, AED Training for the Professional Rescuer, and Title 22 (First Aid for Public Service Professionals).

Skills Preferred: Oxygen Administration for the Professional Rescuer Certification.
Previous lifeguarding experience.
Possession of general
knowledge of pool systems.
Percentage of Time Duty
100% BASIC FUNCTION - Ensure the safety of patrons in and around the pool facility.
PRIMARY DUTIES (may include, but are not limited to):
·     Supervision of patrons
·     Assist in the implementation of swimming programs
·     Enforce all pool rules and regulations, as well as state health and safety laws
·     Respond to emergency situations; administer first aid and primary care as needed, complete accident/incident forms
·     Conduct public relations; offer program information, handle or refer public complaints, post notices, maintain bulletin board as assigned
·     Attend and participate in all in-service training sessions
·     Wears proper attire (red and white uniforms)
·     Report all pool repairs and hazards
·     Inventory and maintain equipment and supplies
·     Maintain pool deck and guard room in a clean and orderly fashion
·     Remove and replace pool covers as assigned
·     Move bulkhead and lane lines to meet long/short course pool requirements
·     Perform all other duties as assigned.

Special Comments: Applications will be accepted through Friday, February 21 at 5pm. Interviews and skills testing will be scheduled for Sunday, March 1st at 9am. There is a mandatory staff training on Sunday, March 29, 2020 from 8:30-1pm.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION (must present certifications at time of interview): Lifeguard Training, CPR + AED for the
Professional Rescuer (or equivalent), Basic First Aid, and Title 22 (First Aid for Public Service Professional).
Applications that do not include a list of current certifications may be rejected.

SKILLS TEST: 500 yard swim in under 8 minutes, tread water for 3 minutes without using arms or hands.
for 3 minutes with 10 lb. brick and perform multiple timed rescues, including backboarding (under 4 minutes).
